SPARKMAN WHARF

In the heart of Channelside right on the water, Sparkman Wharf is an outdoor mixed-use development with several different types of food vendors, a beer garden, and open space to hang out.

On the other side of the city, Armature Works Heights Public Market is another mixed-use concept with a big food hall and sit-down restaurants, a rooftop bar, and ample outdoor space on the Hillsborough River. (Fun fact - this used to be the storage space for Tampa's streetcars!)

HYDE PARK VILLAGE

One of our favorite areas in the city, Hyde Park Village is in the heart of South Tampa and features an array of shops, restaurants and photo-worthy wall murals. There's also plenty of outside space to grab a snack and soak up the gorgeous March weather in Tampa!

our favorite local eats

Looking for somewhere to eat during your time in Tampa? Visit some of our favorite spots, including:
  • Oxford Exchange: Featuring a breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch menu, Oxford Exchange is a restaurant that also features a bookstore and local artisan shop. The food is delicious and the ambiance alone is worth a visit! (Note: we'd suggest making a reservation)
  • Salt Shack: Grab a spot on the water and enjoy fresh seafood and a fun bar menu at Salt Shack. We'd recommend visiting at sunset to get the best views!
  • Bartaco: Nestled in Hyde Park Village, Bartaco is a Mexican-inspired favorite, with fresh-squeezed margaritas and delicious street tacos. Expect a slight wait for a table, but enjoy all that Hyde Park has to offer while you wait!
  • Pinky's: If you're looking for a delicious breakfast option, check out Pinky's diner for great pancakes and breakfast sandwiches.
  • Buddy Brew: With two locations across Tampa, Buddy Brew is a local favorite for coffee. Grab a coffee from the Hyde Park location before a day of shopping, or head to the Kennedy location for a more sit-down experience - both are wonderful!

Other Activities

  • St. Petersburg: Take a 30-minute drive to visit the gorgeous beaches, tons of different breweries and restaurants in St. Petersburg.
  • Looking to get active and enjoy the outdoors? Check out Bayshore Boulevard in South Tampa - a 4.5-mile long sidewalk along the bay - or head Downtown to the Tampa Riverwalk, a 2.6-mile trail along the Hillsborough River featuring parks and restaurants.
  • Historic Ybor City: You can also get a slice of Tampa history in Ybor City, which features authentic Cuban food, cigar-rolling and so much more.
  • Attractions: Tampa is also home to the Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, and several museums. Make sure to check online for tickets to these in advance.
